‘Friends of ‘Urban’ who are a collection of parents and family of the students who attend UKC got together to organise a ‘Ladies Night’ which was held at Wotton Hall in Barnwood to raise money for Urban Kickboxing Centre and Brunelcare South West, who give care to those coping with Dementia.


Nearly 150 women filled the hall on Friday 22nd November and enjoyed the a fantastic evening of entertainment provided by ‘Ebony Ivory’ along with a raffle full of amazing donated prizes from local Business’s.  Some of the top prizes included a Gym Membership from ‘Gloucester University’, All inclusive Children’s Kickboxing Party at ‘Urban Kickboxing Centre’, a 6 week Pole Fitness Course from and ‘Next Outlet’ in Gloucester Quays donated a Black Velvet bedroom chair worth £250!! Other prizes were donated by Boots, Go Outdoors, Holland & Barrett, ‘The Cook Shop’, Helle Hanson, Thorntons, ‘The Gym’, Aura, Belinda Champan – Shiastsu Therapist, and Inspire Photography.


Funds raised totaled a massive £1212.40 from which both Brunelcare and UKC will benefit immensely. Picture above shows coaches Carl and Kyle handing over the cheque to Colin Dicks Operations Manager for Brunelcare.


Both Organisations would like to thank ‘Friends of Urban’ and all those who generously donated to make the event a huge success.
